India to Begin Campaign Against Ireland, Face Pakistan in Marquee Clash

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, with Rohit Sharma leading the charge for India.

India's World Cup journey will commence on June 5, 2024, as they take on Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The team will then face their arch-rivals Pakistan in a highly anticipated clash on June 30.

This year's T20 World Cup will be jointly hosted by the United States and West Indies, with the tournament scheduled to begin on June 1, 2024. All participating nations were required to submit their squads to the ICC by May 1.

The BCCI's selection committee has included a blend of experienced and young players in the squad, with several promising faces making their mark. Rohit Sharma will be supported by key players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Hardik Pandya.

India will be aiming to secure their second T20 World Cup title, having previously won the tournament in 2007 under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
